In the past decade, South Africa has enacted a new Constitution and
more than 800 new laws designed to protect the human rights and dignity of
all of our people. As a result, all South African institutions, including
faith communities, are operating in a changed legal environment.
Legal Obligations: What Faith Communities Need to Know is
intended to highlight the new legal responsibilities incumbent on churches
and faith-based organisations and assist them to comply appropriately.
